Bio
Thomas is a fifth-year student, currently studying a master Industrial Design Engineering at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. In his first year, he became an active student by joining several committees at his study association. Thomas enjoyed organizing activities and workshops for fellow students and this motivated him to apply for a board year at the study association. In his role as Officer of Educational Affairs, he got to know how the educational system at his university works and got passionate about contributing to improving education. With fellow students and board members, he organized the ‘Innovative Classroom Pilot’, illustrating the effect of the learning environment on education and how the set-up of a classroom can improve a lecture or tutorial.
During his studies in Stockholm, Sweden at Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, Thomas became active at Students’ Nobel Nightcap 2019 (SNNC). SNNC is responsible for hosting the official continuation of the Nobel Banquet at the 10th of December each year.
Thomas is most passionate about organizing events and activities with like-minded people. With a curious and pro-active mindset, he loves to explore new possibilities and opportunities.
