Fellow:Skylar Wolen
Skylar Wolen is senior at James Madison University. He is currently studying Finance and Computer Information Systems. Skylar is
originally from Long Island, New York, but currently resides in Harrisonburg, VA. He currently helps create innovative classes around campus that are multi-disciplinary allowing for creativity and collaboration at its greatest potential. As a University Innovation Fellow, he hopes to create widespread awareness for these innovative courses and inspire change in the universities curriculum.
After winning JMU’s hackathon, Skylar could put together a Virtual and Augmented Reality class that could be implemented into the universities curriculum and be open to all students. This sparked change and he is now in the process of creating the school’s first ever Blockchain class, to offer students skills that they wouldn’t normally get in the current curriculum.
