Bio

Philippe is a University Innovation Fellow Candidate for the Cohort of 2019/2020 at the University of Twente. His whole life, he lived in Belgium. However, his nationality is half American and half Dutch.

Philippe is currently a second year Electrical Engineering student at the University of Twente. In this study, the students explore different subject connected to electronics. This entails Computer science, Physics, circuits and networks. Until now, he has passed his first year will all classes passed. That means that he has earned his BSA (Binding Student Advice) and his propedeuse (60/60 EC)

Besides studying, Philippe is an active student at his study association. There he organises the study trips for about 70 students from EEMCS (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer science). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this was sadly cancelled and will be postponed to 2021. Philippe is also part of the swimming association (Piranha) at which he is on his way to obtaining his open water license. After completing that, he is looking to expand his knowledge in scuba diving with other courses. He is also an active student at the Twentse Student Alpine Club (TSAC). Here he obtained his toprope license. Besides that, he enjoys bouldering.
