Meghan Sharkus is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate student at the University of St.Thomas. Her focuses include entrepreneurship through running her company ExpressionMed and teaching through running events like Twin Cities Startup Week and speaking at local high schools.

Meghan love the day to day learning opportunity of running a business and thinks that it has provided immense educational value in every aspect of business ranging from team management to financial accounting. She also is grateful for the life skills it has taught her from time management, to interpersonal communications. In her free time Meghan likes to dance or play her ukulele. She is currently taking a prototyping class to learn more about coding, 3-D modeling, and circuits so she can create a wider range of innovations in the future.

Meghan’s entrepreneurial journey began with an advocacy campaign she ran her junior year of highschool. After raising money for an epilepsy foundation she fell in love with community service and served as a VP for Wisconsin DECA. This path lead her to business competitions and brought out the idea for ExpressionMed. Since launching she has won over 5 competitions and been featured in over 7 magazines and news broadcasts. She can’t wait to continue her education and teach young entrepreneurs how to follow their own passions and build companies that change the world.
