Fellow:Tom Negaard
Thomas Negaard is in a Junior at the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota, studying Civil Engineering. Born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, he chose the UST for its size, faculty, and opportunities for exploration. One of these opportunities being University Innovation Fellows. He found out about the program through a professor of his and saw the program as a chance to make a difference in the university, build relationships with faculty, and meet other innovators from around the country.
He serves as a swimming representative in the NCAA’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and president of UST’s American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter. Thomas is also a member of the men’s swim team at UST and enjoys drawing, hiking, and running in his free time.
