Bio

Athina Sideridou is a third-year student majoring in Electrical Engineering at the University of Twente. She is actively engaged in various roles and activities, dedicated to improving the educational experience and promoting student well-being.

Athina serves as a student representative on the Faculty Council, where she advocates for the interests of her peers. She also has an active role in the Program Committee of her study, working to enhance the quality of education for electrical engineering students. Furthermore, she is deeply committed to organizing impactful events and speaker recruitment as an event executive for TEDx TwenteU this year.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Athina carries a profound desire to make a positive impact on her university. She envisions a future where opportunities are readily accessible to all and where the voices of students are taken seriously. Her passion for equality, empowering girls to pursue STEM, student well-being, and her goal to contribute to a better university experience for everyone drive her dedication to various roles on both the faculty and central levels.

Beyond her academic and advocacy work, Athina enjoys a range of hobbies, from dancing, socializing with friends, watching movies, and exercising, to reading books and writing.
