Fellow:Alejandro García Navarrete
Alejandro García Navarrete is a University Innovation Fellow and a master student of the Communication Science program at the University of Twente in
The Netherlands. His aims are on the relevance of communication in the use, design, and support of Technology. He was born in Guadalajara, México, where he studied the Bachelor of Communication and Media studies at the ITESO University, where he worked as producer and director for Internet TV Channel. He has also worked on a digital marketing agency, as project manager in the web and app development department, and social media marketing campaigns.
In the University of Twente, he is part of the DesignLab Dream team, where he has collaborated on various projects, one related to app development for visually impaired people and another, he was the team leader in the research project collaborating with the province of Overijssel and police department and being part of the team giving the workshop for new employees sharing their international background in the University of Twente. Besides, this year has joined the Latin American student association (LA VOZ) as activity coordinator with the goal to promote the culture and Latin-American identity in Enschede.
The technology, creativity industries, meeting new cultures, sharing opinions, helping and learning from others, inspired Alejandro to challenge himself to study abroad.
