Alastair Bate is an Associate Cloud Architect at Amazon Web Services, located in Sydney, Australia.
He has had a striking passion for all types of technologies and often spends his free time discovering what new products and services can do. At University he studied Electrical Engineering and was additionally involved in a range of leadership and co-curricular activities. He strives to remain enthusiastic in all his pursuits and commits all his energy to getting the tasks at hand done. Alastair uses his time to take on every opportunity presented to him. Travelling has been a huge part of these opportunities and this has allowed him to connect with many people, including fellows, learning how people of all walks of life work in their day to day lives.
Alastair completed the UIF program in Fall of 2018. Since then, design thinking has been integrated into his work, studies and life in general. He strives to remain enthusiastic in all his pursuits and commits all his energy to getting the tasks at hand done. If you were to describe him in a simple phrase it would be, "Analytical and calculated, yet restless and open to the world."
