AhemStarting his journey at the painted mountains of Western Colorado, he drove gallantly through the winding roads and deep canyons which make up what is known as the rocky mountains. On a more serious noteThe journey was long, tiresome, and required discipline of the highest rank, but after 4 long, grueling, Torin Johnson is and tiresome hours in a University Innovation Fellow originally from Grand Junctionwarm automatic car, Coloradohe made it to the Eastern slope, who now attends and to a small town called by the Colorado School name of Mines, where he is pursuing a degree in Computer Science + Robotics star's gentle and Intelligent Systemswarm light: Golden. After graduating, In this town he plans came to work in the up treasure which he so desired: the hospitable, friendly, and coming robotics industry for a few ever improving campus which is Colorado School of Mines. For the next four yearshe would live here, then head back practicing and mastering skills which are impossible to school for a Masters in Business (possibly a MBAmaster: self-improvement, self-awareness, leadership, knowledge applicability, and hopefully at the Wharton school of business)so much more. Eventually As he wishes struggles and grows from day to start day, the dream in his own company in heart holds strong and true. The world will be his. And this, is only where the tech field, most likely in roboticsstory begins...
Throughout all Time certainly flies. I'm now editing this page after four years of his undergraduate schooling, and lifeis quite different than how I imagined it would be. What a dork I was to have written the above opening paragraph, and what a dork I still am to be leaving it.[[File:Torin Johnson.jpg|alt=|thumb|Torin.jpg]]Torin had been interested in building, creatingJohnson is a UIF originating from Grand Junction, and innovatingColorado. It wasnHe't until s completed his Sophomore year undergraduate degree in Computer Science at the Colorado School of high schoolMines, however, that he became and is currently pursuing his masters in CS at the person he is todaysame school. This change happened He originally planned to work in the up and coming robotics industry for one main reason: He met girlsthe years following graduation, with the goal of starting his own robotics business. YesAfter four years of schooling, this seems quite inadequate as far as explaining he still has the dream of starting his passion for leadership, involvement, change, technology, academia, and peopleown business, but rest assuredafter many experiences including robotics research, this was the case. You seemultiple robotics courses, these girls were very involved leadership in the school, very academicrobotics club, and overall exploring the coolest land of robotics (Japan study abroad), his interests have shifted from robots to people he had ever met. From thisNow, Torin developed a passion to change himself, and he plans to change continue his school, which grew to his college, his country, and then education in Ireland in the world. He became involved in student senate, which helped him to realize he can make a difference, direction of behavioral psychology and after becoming the Student Body Associate Vice Presidentmental health, he could see it. He also joined with the Future Business Leaders goal of America, which helped him to realize that he loved business, and after he became starting a chapter president, made him realize he could make a difference through thissocial entrepreneurial venture in the field.
Now that he's Through his time in collegeundergraduate studies, Torin has taken what he learned from his early life and is expanding upon it every day. He loves learning from others, whether it be was heavily involved in life skills or academics, and loves socializing the development of the Entrepreneurship and networking with people as a whole. He also loves to think. To expand upon worldly ideas and create new philosophies and theories about life. He still loves to create, and works Innovation department on projects whenever he can, but now he is quite busy with involvement at the school. You seecampus, he's joined including heading the robotics entrepreneurship clubfor a time, where he became the Vice President of Cointaking many flagship courses as a test subject, the Mines Activities Council, where he is on an E-Days committee and helps where he can, the Acts of Random Kindness building connections with Rockies Venture Clubthrough being a business analytics intern, TAing and the Entrepreneurship club, where he is helping to bring it back to life on campus and has an exciting future planned plan out. He also hopes to join the Undergraduate Student GovernmentInnov8X course and Innov8X Studio (Hacking for Home Security, and the Peer Mentor Programsolving a problem you're passionate about), and leading design thinking workshops for students and faculty.
Although at He also participated in a school community service trip to Nepal for engineers, Torin also loves the liberal arts; He loves to sing, to write, to read, to play guitarHike For Help, and to learn about history as well as peoplestudied abroad in Japan. More specifically, Torin loves to write songsIn addition, to lose himself in he taught a good book (especially about self improvment, history, or freshman success seminar course for two semesters as a good Shakespeare play)Peer Mentor, and to learn about volunteered as a camp councilor for the psychology of peopleMines Oredigger camp for four camps.
LastlyHis work experience, Torin lives by four rules and one quote: 1. The Golden Rule: Do unto others beyond Rockies Venture Club, includes working as you would have others do unto you. 2. Be a Man project engineering intern at JR Clark Enterprises, and working on his own (or womanalbeit still unprofitable) entrepreneurial venture (which has mainly consisted of your word. 3. Everything in Moderation: Everything is flawedweb development, everything is balancedmachine learning development, everything is beautifuland lots of student mental health research). Through these thoughts I rule Torin will also be an adjunct teacher for an undergraduate computer science course in the world. In other wordsfall, too much of anything is bad. 4. Mind Over Body: A sound mind needs as well as a sound body, and vice versa. Therefore he practices meditation (in his own way) and works out regularlygraduate level TA for Innov8X.
"Everyone thinks Throughout his entire time at Mines, Torin has loved liberal arts on the side of changing his technical education. This includes participating in the McBride Honors program for a minor in public affairs, pursuing a music career on the worldside with song writing and music production (as well as playing live and holding jam sessions with others), writing creative stories, reading many fiction novels, but no one thinks participating in the Mines swing dancing club, and loving philosophical discussions on the human condition, and conversations pertaining to human psychology, education, and policy. Some of changing himself" - Leo Tolstoyhis creative and song writing work can be found at: <nowiki>https://www.torinj.com</nowiki>
Torin is also in the constant pursuial of self-growth, working out and doing yoga most days, learning about and cooking healthy meals, reflecting on his past and future often, constantly learning from others, and always preparing and looking for opportunities in the direction of his life interests. = Related Links = [http://universityinnovation.org/Colorado%20School%20of%20Mines Colorado School of Mines University Innovation Fellows]
[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Colorado_School_of_Mines Colorado School of Mines] '''University Innovation Fellows''' Spring 2018: *[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Adam_Marcinkowski Adam Marcinkowski]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Curtis_Harrison Curtis Harrison]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Michael_Thuis Michael Thuis]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Torin_Johnson Torin Johnson] Spring 2017: *[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Emma_May Emma May]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Tanner_McAdoo Tanner McAdoo]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Sarah_Ingram Sarah Ingram]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Samuel_Warfield Samuel Warfield] Spring 2016: *[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Mallory_Britz Mallory Britz]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Daniel_Dickason Daniel Dickason]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Trevor_Clevenger Trevor Clevenger]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Tara_Maestas Tara Maestas]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Asya_Sergoyan Asya Sergoyan]*[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Nicholas_Yuan Nicholas Yuan] Spring 2014: *[http://universityinnovation.org/wiki/Corey_Brugh Corey Brugh]
[[Category:Student Contributors|Student_Contributors]][[Category:Colorado_School_of_Mines_(2018_Spring_cohort)]][[Category:Student_Contributors]]{{CatTree|Colorado_School_of_Mines}}
