Bio
Tamara Wood is from the Bronx, New York. She is currently majoring in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice. She has always had a passionate for creating a better criminal justice system since being in high school. During her freshman year at Shaw University, she also decided to minor in African American Studies because she wanted to expand on my knowledge of Black culture. At her university, she currently serves as the chief of staff to the student body president. She is also the administrative assistant of the Minority Association for Pre-Health Students (MAPS). In her free time, she enjoys working out and trying to learn new things. She is also a part of a non-profit organization in the Bronx called Dear Black Girl. She grew up as a mentee in this program, and now, occasionally she mentors other young girls and provide clerical work when needed as part of community service.
