Bio
Talia Ku is a highly motivated biomedical engineering student at UTS. She is passionate about humanitarian engineering and dreams of making a difference. One day she would love to work on projects surrounding the area of tissue engineering.
She believes that good teachers have the power to change the trajectory of a student's life and can greatly influence their passions. In the past she has worked as both an ice skating coach and a swimming instructor. These jobs helped to prepare her with teaching and strong communication skills for when she attended 'Winter Regioneering 2023' run by Engineers Without Borders. This opportunity allowed her to reach out to rural students to encourage them to pursue tertiary education and encourage career paths that may not have been previously considered by them. Currently, she is working as a Student Promotional Representative of UTS for the Engineering and IT Faculty of the University of Technology Sydney and hopes to encourage students to enrol in university, specifically in the Engineering sector.
