Bio
Maxwell is entering the University of North Florida 2020 University Innovation Fellows cohort as a sophomore in college, where he is majoring in Computer Science with hopes of working on future software that will help us combat climate change. Max currently works at Florida Atlantic University's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, where he has been working with a NASA program that is used to process images of the Earth's oceans taken from satellites. Outside of academics, Max has spent time volunteering at homeless shelters throughout his community, and has an avid interest in jazz music. Max has been playing alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone in jazz bands and gigging regularly since his freshman year of high school, and has been playing music his entire life. Max also has a love for travel and a desire to discover parts of the world foreign to him and become immersed in a multitude of different and unfamiliar cultures.

Achievements
- Max is a member of the University of North Florida's Hicks Honors College
- Max has had the pleasure of being able to travel to Canada with fellow band-mates to play music at different schools and jazz clubs.
