Bio
My name is Jacqueline Small. I am a third-year student at the University of North Florida. I am a double major in Criminal Justice and International Studies with a Concentration in Foreign Language and Culture. I hope to use my desire to aid minorities/juveniles within the Criminal Justice System as well as my passion for language learning to help members of my community.
I am currently an intern at the Jax Urban League where I am a part of the Criminal Justice Reform team. We have been looking at ways to engage with the community to address issues of policing and violence within the Jacksonville area. I am also working on the Remembrance Project with the Equal Justice Initiative. Through this initiative we memorialize documented victims of racial violence and lead conversations on race and justice. I am also involved with various organizations supporting our refugee population by providing tutoring and mentoring.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
