Fátima González is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. In 2022, she hopes to obtain her Technical Computer Science degree from this same university. Born in Spain, where she also followed part of her studies both in Galicia and in Madrid. Moreover, Fatima had the opportunity of living for almost two years at a boarding in the United Kingdom, where she discovered her passion for travelling and working in a team.
Before commencing her studies in the Netherlands, Fatima combined her studies at school with sports and courses to obtain her diploma from the Conservatory of Music. In addition, she participated in many volunteer projects. Among them, it stands out the experience of living in Sicily where she worked in a school for children, as well as the different initiatives created to raise funds for different causes.
After her experience in high school in different clubs and associations, following the same path and achieving more than a degree was one of her goals during her university period. For this reason, she joined many different committees such as the Student Union Afternoon Sessions or the Buddy Program from her university, where she rotated among the positions of secretary and treasurer until today, when she is the current president of the association. In addition, her passion for volunteering led her to join the UNICEF Student Team Enschede, where she started organising events and ended up in the finance and networking team.
Her passion for solving and analysing problems led Fatima to enrol in her university's Honours program, where she focuses on the Shaping branch of Future. In addition, due to her love for technology and innovation, she became an IBMz ambassador and part of the IBMz Students Committee. Currently, Fatima helps her fellow students by being a prefect for her university degree program. By joining UIF, she hopes to expand her knowledge in innovation and participate in different projects.
