Bio
Amelie Arrer was born in India and raised as half American-half Austrian in Salzburg, Austria. She has a BA in "Innovation & Management in Tourism" from FH Salzburg and will start her graduate studies in Social Innovation in fall 2021. She has been working at the FH Salzburg since 2019, spending over 2 years in the international office before switching to the tourism department where she currently works as the international departmental coordinator. Despite a broad range of interests, most professional decisions Amelie has made have stemmed from her passion for people and cultures.
In her free time, Amelie makes time to pursue other hobbies and interests but she also likes to relax. For some downtime, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog.
Achievements
-Managing a small art gallery: Amelie took over the management position of a small independent art gallery, leading a team of 4
-2nd place at the Gastro Hackathon 2019: her multidisciplinary team placed 2nd with an idea to distribute ski guests in a major ski region. Amelie's main task was the 2 minute pitch.
