Biography

Vijaya Lakshmi Udayagiri hails from Madanapalle, a nook in Andhra Pradesh. She humbly emerged as a global educator by her persistent efforts. Vijaya Lakshmi holds Masters’ degree and a post-graduation diploma in counselling in NCERT (The National Council of Educational Research and Training) one of the Premier Institutes for the Education field in India. Currently she is working for Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science as a Coordinator of International Relations & UIF and also Students’ Counsellor. With her experience and international exposure in the innovative teaching techniques, she took up the responsibility of tuning MITS students towards innovation & creativity.

She is in the teaching profession for the past 35 years. Her passion for teaching and her journey in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (Central Govt. Organization) has exposed her to the best experiential learning opportunities. Her innovative techniques in teaching methodology and expertise in teaching has been identified by her Organization, which brought many accolades. She got an opportunity to work for Kendriya Vidyalaya Indian Embassy- Khathmandu, Nepal for 3 years. (2008-2011)

Her democratic and empathetic positive attitude towards the staff and the students made her to articulate her skills to lead the team. Her tireless services for the students have lighted and lightened many a soaring heart. She is diligent, conscientious, computer savvy and self-directive, adventurous and a Himalayan trekker. Providing quality education through innovative teaching practices is her motto.

She has been a source of inspiration and very popular among students’ community. Her approach towards community service is unique and worth emulation. Her contributions and service towards local communities as a crisis manager made her unique and ingenious human being. Apart from this, she is a practitioner of mindfulness meditation of Vipasana, Art of Living and Reiki healing.


Mission: She strongly believes that quality education is every student’s birth right, the systemic and sustainable changes occur only through the efforts of students. She strives hard to groom them to unleash their innate capabilities. Having been trained by Stanford Team in TLS India program happened at Bangalore in June 2017, she dedicates all her time in mentoring the students and the University Innovation Fellows of MITS.
