Bio
Julian is currently studying Applied Image & Signal Processing(Joint Master Degree, Universtiy of Salzburg & FH Salzburg). His main focus is Audio-Visual-Media. From capture to processing and at long last analysis. Working with libraries like openCV, numpy, pandas, etc., while not eshewing coding unassisted. If necessary. In love with Machine Vision, Data Science and Digital Color. Julian did his bachelors degree in Informationtechnology & Systems Management at FH Salzburg(University of Applied Sciences Salzburg).
Before Julian jumped on his academic track, he was an apprentice/employee in a printing/media/publishing company in the heart of Upper Austria. He is still a professional in printing, media design and publishing industry with ~10 years of experience. Worked on a portfolio of traditional media formats as well as digital products. In this century as a specialist he grew from an apprentice to the head of department.
From a very young age Julian was interrested in art, design and music and actively plays electric base guitar. With this passion he took part in various groups, formations and bands, in the aforementioned disciplines, where he could experience the process of creation and design at first hand. His path led to his passion for Computer Science, Imageprocessing and Digital Colour and he tries to combine every little piece of knowledge and experience together to reach a higher purpose.
Achievements
Apprenticeship PrePress Technician He oversaw the technical aspects of the printing workflow. Those included raw data processing, color management and job imposition/composition.
Apprenticeship MediaDesign He created a range of print products: magazines, books and ad hoc commercial products. The portfolio was complemented by digital solutions such as e-books, websites, apps, VR-content and others.
Social Year, "Lebenshilfe Braunau" Julian was part of the "Lebenshilfe Braunau", as a caregiver in residences for handicapped people. Where he improved his social skills and gained an overall awareness on life.
Head of Design He took over the department where he got trained and took his apprenticeship. Responsible for the Design- and PrePress dept.. His key task was to manage the Design and PrePress within his companies printing branch. Aswell he was in charge of colormanagement and oversaw all the prepress workflows and processes.
Bachelors Degree in Informationtechnology and Systems Management With years of experience and a gouverment stipendia, he started his academic carrer at the FH Salzburg(University of Applied Sciences Salzburg). His main fields of study were: Signalprocessing. Programming(C, C++, Python), Media Informatics, Data Science, Electronics + Physics crashcourse. Networkmanagment + Security.
