It established many events related career guidance, Personality </span><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">development</span><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">and motivation. While coming to the ENTREPRENEURSHIP our college has Entrepreneur Development cell which was established in July 2010 and I&E cell that has established in 2015 November, which has been encouraging students in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship. These cells provide students workshops related to entrepreneurship and motivate the students to gain the entrepreneurial mindset. Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science is established in 1998 in the picture square and pleasant environof Madanapalle and is ideally located on a sprawing30 acrecampus on Madanapalle Ananthapur Highway(NH-205) near Angallu,about10 km away from Madanapalle.It is governed by a progressive management that never rests on laurels and has been striving conscientiously to develop it as one of the best centers of Academic Excellence in India.The Institution’s profile is firmly based on strategies and action plans that match changing demands of the nation and the studentsfraternity.To foster a culture of excellence in research, innovation, entrepreneurship, rational thinkingand civility by providing necessary resources for generation, dissemination and utilization of knowledge and in the process, create an ambiencefor practice-based learning to the youth for success in their careers.

2.ENCOURAGING FACULTY INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP:

Collegeencourages faculty towards innovation and entrepreneurship by providing the necessary infrastructure and facilities and by exposing them to famous research centresall over the country. With these experiences faculty of our college coordinates many events, workshops and guest lectures from reputed entrepreneurs  encouragespeople by imbibing innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills in them  whichhelps students to think creatively these skills from faculty helps  studentsto fulfill their dream projects.

 

3.ACTIVELY SUPPORTING THE UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FUNCTION:

Our college has TEQIP which provides funds and transfers for students and faculty to complete their projects.It mainly concentrates on helping students financially like a backbone. Students need not worry about the funds and can purely concentrate on their respective projects which ultimately gives the desired outputs.Nextwe have TECHNICAL CLUB where everyone from different departments can collaborate easily in order to share and develop their technical skills.As a resulteveryone can get information about all the current technologies and can execute many projects.It also provides industrial exposure regarding latest trends in technology and can have a practical experience what it is actually about.

4.FACILITATING UNIVERSITY-INDUSTRY COLLABORATION:

 

Collaboration between universities and industries is critical for skills development (education and training), the generation, acquisition, and adoption of knowledge (innovation and technology transfer), and the promotion of entrepreneurship (start-ups and spin-offs). The Industry-Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) of our college is a dedicated cell to promote the close interaction of industry and various departments of the institute. The IIIC Cell facilitates industrial and academic trainingsthose are not prescribed in the syllabus in addition to conducting industrial exhibitions and interaction meets. Industry Institute Partnership forms an important activity for any academic institute as its stakeholders interact with the real world. Firstly, the students are benefited due to exposure to current industry practices, challengesand needs and update their skills when changes occur in technology, teaching faculty getsensitized to the latest practices leading them to blend practice with usual theoretical teaching methods. On successful interaction, Industry may realize that Academia has more to offer by way of solving their short term and long term technical problems, provide a manpower resource pool with good industry orientation and a source for updating the knowledge sets of its personnel.

5.ENGAGING WITH REGIONAL AND LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS:

National Service Scheme(NSS) has been introduced at MITS in 2003 as a part of the academic programs and since then NSS has been functioning as a regular feature in the realm of our academics. Objectiveof NSS is Education and Service to the community and bythe community. It’s students’ programme where we cater to the need of the community, as and when required, it will also help the students to communicate with the society. It helps students to improve various skills how to interact and deal with society and helps them to learn about what’s going on in society and gives them a exposureto explore. The rural projects generally include the working of NSS volunteers in adopted villages for eradicationof illiteracy, watershed management and wasteland development, agricultural operations, health, nutrition etc. Beyond academicsit is also important to have socialresponsibility for a student to be a good citizen of tomorrow.
