Fellow:Sucharitha Chokkappagari
Sucharitha Chokkappagari is currently pursuing her Masters in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science(EECS) at National Yang Ming-Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan. Growing curiosity and a normal penchant towards hands-on and experiential learning intrigued her interest in opting for the University Innovation fellowship program. She believes that education is the most important asset and quality of a person, and one should attempt his/her best to acquire it. Her dedication, diligence and desire made her thoughtful to evolve as a critical thinker. Her confidence, strong values, and respect for others make an enormous difference in the world around her. She is a workaholic and well determined to do her work.
Always amidst many societal challenges and competition, she gave her love for Science and Technology and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science(MITS), AP India. Merging both academic pursuits and extracurricular activities enabled her to develop decision-making and problem-solving abilities. She was elected as one of the Student Coordinator of Student Quality Assurance Cell in MITS, considering her leadership qualities, communication skills, and performance. She has established an excellent rapport with her fellow students and the faculty with her pleasing manner and proficiency in communication. Taking the responsibility and commitment to bring changes in the ecosystem, she was declared as “University Innovation Fellow” by Hasso Plattner Institute of Design School, Stanford University, who instills the vision for change. She attended a global innovation accelerator training program on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” at Shenzhen University, China. She worked as a Chief Technical Officer(CTO) with her team for the project "B2Brain" which is one of the top 10 Startups at this program. She believes in smart work and feels that the only element that can change the world is having a ‘strong desire’ to bring up the innovation. Indeed, she is one of the administrator for the departmental website which is intended to support the digital platform and make students perform academically and technically well at MITS. She was one of the Fabulous fellows to facilitate “Eastern Hemisphere Meetup” at Abu Dhabi, Dubai in March 2019 considering her work as a change agent at MITS.
She has an evinced interest in the research work environment and her zeal towards "learning by doing" is the major cause for being a research student at VLSI-EDA laboratory, NYCU, Taiwan. She always hopes to come up with path breaking results through experimentation that she finds very fascinating. She feels the essence of enjoyment in sharing her knowledge with others and always excited to learn new skills. She is an active, outgoing presence in class with a profound sense of humor. Her hobbies include calligraphy, playing badminton and travelling. She loves spending time on the seashore.
