Currently, Claire is an Analyst at Valtruis, supporting Platform & Operations. Previously, Claire worked as an Innovation Consulting Associate at Healthbox and a Business Strategy Specialist at HIMSS. Prior to this, she held internship positions at Ohio Innovation Fund, a midwest venture capital fund, and Ariadne Labs, a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is passionate about the potential for design thinking and technology drive improvements in health care delivery.
Claire McGee is During her time as a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate at Ohio Unicersity double majoring in Public Health University, Claire undertook several work streams to improve the innovation and entrepreneurship community on campus. She led numerous Design-Thinking workshops and Spanish with was a minor finalist in Environmental Healththe 2019 Design Challenge. She is interested in maternal Additionally, she and reproductive healthher co-Fellow, Dillon Mahr, and how these things can overlap with led an effort to redesign first-year orientation programming to include Design Thinking methodology. Although she never got to attend the Silicon Valley Meetup, she attended the world of innovation2020 Alps Meetup in Salzburg, Austria, design and entrepreneurshipjust before COVID hit.
Claire is from Athens, Ohio believes that every student has the ability to think creatively and spends her breaks traveling create real change on campus and working around in the worldbeyond graduation. She just recently returned from a summer internship working for a Danish maternal health non-profit in Bogotá, Colombia. Claire thinks that it is also a Cutler Scholar at Ohio Universityparamount to equip all students, and is the Publisher regardless of major or discipline, with the largest student-run print magazine publication, Backdrop Magazinetools to innovate and test their ideas. In her free timeThrough the UIF program, she works at Claire earned the local running store connections and likes skills to be outside. She also enjoys playing guitar, singing, bring together her undergraduate classmates and cooking meals for her family create a campus climate that supports innovation and friendscreativity as a means to improve Ohio University.
