Bio

Since childhood, Kiara Sanchez has seen curiosity not as a distraction but as a compass. While others chose one path, she was learning ballet for twelve years, filling notebooks with poetry, and exploring new languages like French and Italian. By the time she was finishing high school, she was also studying pastry and completing an associate degree in Computerized Accounting—proof that for her, learning has never been limited to a single box.

What has always mattered most is sharing what she learns. After the pandemic, she taught herself Peruvian Sign Language to include a young girl in group activities, showing that knowledge only becomes powerful when it creates belonging.

Today, Kiara studies Business Administration at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) with a focus on Global Management, aiming to build a career in diplomacy that connects cultures, institutions, and projects with purpose. As a Student Assistant in the Marketing Office of Admissions, she coordinates institutional tours, supports educational fairs, and represents her university at events, convinced that a well-designed experience can transform how someone sees an entire institution.

Her sense of service extends beyond campus. She volunteers with Mallqui Allchi, an NGO working on climate justice and environmental education, and recently joined UPC’s Environmental Brigade. For Kiara, sustainability, inclusion, and diplomacy are not separate pursuits but parts of the same story: building bridges so that communities, ideas, and people can thrive together.

Despite only being in her third cycle of studies, Kiara is proud of what she has accomplished so far and feels deeply excited for what lies ahead. For her, every step—whether academic, personal, or professional—is both a milestone and a springboard toward a future where curiosity and impact go hand in hand.

Achievements

First Place in Business Administration – UPC (2025-1): Achieved #1 overall standing in her career for the semester, highlighting both academic discipline and commitment to continuous learning.

Dean’s List – UPC (2025): Recognized for academic excellence and leadership, ranking in the top 10% of her business school

Inclusive leadership: Learned Peruvian Sign Language to integrate a child into group activities, championing accessibility and empathy.

Environmental action: Member of UPC’s Environmental Brigade and volunteer at Mallqui Allchi NGO, leading projects on climate justice and sustainability.

Arts & culture: Trained in ballet for 12 years, passionate about poetry and film, and founder of a small Letterboxd film community that hosts monthly debates.
