INSTITUTE OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS (IEEE)

IEEE

The IEEE is a professional association that develops, defines, and reviews electronics and computer science standards. Its mission is "to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. S V College of Engineering (Tirupati) is one of the most active student branch with in IEEE Hyderabad Section of R10 Region. This IEEE provides lots of opportunities to all the students who are part of it , A huge network is established , Lots of opportunities , A good exposure to the outside world . The students of this college consider the IEEE as an ocean because the more you delve the more you get and explore IEEE not only drives us towards the volunteering opportunities but also towards the innovation and entrepreneurship if we are having a thought about a project if we draft a proposal and send it to the related society of IEEE say IEEE Sight which is related to the funding of the projects. If a student is interested in paper publication IEEE is the best hub to relay on and the experienced faculty of this college are always at the students back giving their best support for the better future of the young generation.

The team of IEEE Sri venkateswara College Of Engineering believes in the motto of Ignite-Ideate-Design-Model-Product because IGNITE (arouse or inflame) a student must ignite his/her idea after igniting they must IDEATE (form an idea ) after that they must DESIGN (decide upon the look and functioning) then make a MODEL (a thing used as an example to follow or imitate) and then bring out the ultimate PRODUCT(result of an action or process).

INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP CELL DEVELOPMENT CELL (IEDC)

Idea

The major part of our I&E ecosystem is the INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP CELL DEVELOPMENT CELL.   A total space of 1700 sq. ft has been allocated for IEDC. Space provides houses training facility, lab facility including High-end Computers, Laptops, Scanner, Printers, IEDC Faculty rooms, and conference rooms. A dedicated team of faculty with a Ph.D. and three advisory faculty members works for IEDC. The main aim of this program is to drive the students towards innovation and entrepreneurship. It conducts workshops and programs to identify the students with special talents and provides effective tools to nurture their talent. It encourages the like-minded to form teams and come up with the project ideas. Those ideas that are interesting are funded by the IEDC cell.

The most interesting aspect of the college IEDC is irrespective of the students year of study and discipline, the faculty and the team of IEDC encourages the zeal of the student towards the innovation or startups as they believe that The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible. After taking the idea from the student they give some extra time and make them work on it and also provide another resources through which the idea gets more polished and then it will be reviwed by the worthy faculty who holds a phd and good experience as well in the field the startup was chosen then after the review changes are made accordingly and the college always ensures that the produced outcome is the best they can give to the student as well as the society.

Technical Entrepreneurship Program is also being implemented in this college. Under this program selected set of students are trained in the area of Entrepreneurship and it also nurtures their financial management skills.
