Ajman University was founded in 1988 and was renamed Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST). In 2018, it was renamed again to Ajman University (AU).
Ajman University has two campuses, one in Ajman and the other in Fujairah, It is comprised of 8 colleges. It was ranked as 44th top university in the Arab region according to QS University rankings and recently announced as one of top 3% of the universities in the world.
The University has international recognition from many institutes and non-profit organizations including ABET, ACPE, IEEE, Dell EMC and others proving high standards of teaching and advanced curriculums.
Promoting student innovation and entrepreneurship
AU focuses greatly on developing the physical and industrial part of the programs; they do this by involving the students more with the inner workings of their respective programs thus improving their innovation skills.
AU also focuses greatly on the I&E topic by having a compulsory course called “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” that helps students greatly understand the concepts of I&E and build a better foundation for their future lives.
Other activities that are offered by the University are clubs for different types of skills and/or hobbies. The University considers clubs organized by students to have a better impact than sitting in a class room.
Faculty innovation and entrepreneurship
Our university greatly focuses on having the best professors taught by the best of the best, not for bragging rights but to ensure their students gain the best knowledge and get the best experience possible.
Our faculty are so innovative that even the theoretical and boring lectures are turned to interactive and inclusive courses, not only making the students enjoy the courses but also learn better. With the constant support of the ruler of Ajman and the chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir, they always make sure that everything is up to standards and done properly to ensure students blossom and become innovative in their fields.
University industry collaboration
Collaboration between universities and industries is a crucial part in developing the students and their technical skills. For that, we have a job center as well as an innovation center that work hand in hand where the job center focuses on finding careers that fit each student and the innovation center will support the students throughout their mission be it internships, training, or even a job for graduates.
Our university has good connections and agreements with organizations and companies, these include: Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, IEEE, Ajman government and police (forensics and sciences).
