Strategy #1: Implementing Design Thinking into Courses
Tactic 1: Gather tools to teach a design mini-series and get the word out (March 2018)
Tactic 2: Hold 4-week mini-series on design thinking in different spaces across campus; Utilize UAB Commercialization Accelerator resources and work with them (April 2018)
Tactic 3: Assemble professors, advisors, and passionate students that will help pursue making this a reality by rallying behind us (June and July 2018)
Tactic 4: Pitch idea of adding design-focused course to department heads (August 2018)
Tactic 5: Prepare a design-focused course to be taught within the next academic term; continue with design mini-series to draw more students in (Septemeber-Novemeber 2018)

Strategy #1: Studio Blazer
- Reach out to different students across departments/organizations (i.e., graphic design, marketing, etc.)
- Make a survey to determine student lifestyle categories in order to partition the student body for targeted marketing
- Implement different methods of advertising (Facebook, Twitter, UAB specific channels, etc.)
- Roll out guerilla marketing tactics (billboards, screens, promo walls, etc.)
Strategy #2: Tools of Mass Creation
- Make a catalog of all currently available resources
- Convert catalog into a visual map
- Present materials to involved stakeholders
- Get permission from stakeholders to open these spaces to the public at specific times if they aren't already publicly available
Strategy #3: Waste Free UAB
- Identify biggest producers of waste on campus
- Brainstorm creative ways to reduce/divert that waste
- Set up meetings with those organizations/stakeholders to present ideas, discuss feasibility
- Create action plan
Strategy #4: Innovators of UAB
- Find student talent (student media videographers)
- Identify student entrepreneurs to feature
- Create series proposal
- Propose series
