About Me
Madalyn is a sophomore in the Frederik Meijer Honors College at Grand Valley State University, and is studying Biolgy with an emphasis in ecology and evolution. While she is not completely sure where this area of study will lead her, she loves the course content and is excited about all of the prospects that the field provides. She loves to be make an impact on campus and sits on executive boards in a variety of different student organizations including CHAARG (Changing Health Attitudes and Actions to Recreate Girls) a women’s health and fitness organization as Secretary, Alternative Breaks as a Site Leader, and is an event coordinator for the Laker Traditions Team where she was responsible for planning the campus's annual Family Weekend last fall.
Madalyn loves to travel and last year she adventured to Bear Creek Lake State Park on a week long service project where she was able to combine her love of the outdoors with volunteering. She also studied abroad in Haiti during the summer, and was blown away by the gorgeous views and incredible people that she got to interact with during her time there.
Closer to home, Madalyn loves to run, practice yoga, try new restaraunts, and play with her beloved dog, Adele.
