Bio
Hello, my name is Kassie Gaytan and I am currently a pre-nursing student at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, USA. I am originally from a small town called Marine City, Michigan where I attended high school and worked countless hours in customer service for food retail and restaurant service. In the next couple of years, I hope to obtain my Bachelor’s in the Science of Nursing and pursue a nursing career in oncology to develop new ideas and techniques for cancer treatment plans. I have and currently am serving in many leadership positions in different organizations like the National Honor Society, College Access Networks, Social Innovation Club, Women in Medicine and Science, and more to promote community engagement and outreach. In my free time, I love to travel and immerse myself in various cultures, especially Latin. I also love to be active in the outdoors with water activities, rollerblading, hiking, sports, and meeting new people! I am very passionate about expanding my education in ways that are unique and promoting equality in the education, healthcare, and social worlds.
