Jessie Nowjack is a biotechnology student at Kent State University. She was born just north of her university in Broadview Heights Ohio. She attended high school here and some community college. She attened Cuyahoga Community College just before Kent to allow her to explore many classes and decide what career path would be best for her.

Upon one semester completed at Kent she realized biotech was right for her. She also started getting involved in the innovation community. This led her to become a University Innovation Fellow. She also is a Supplemental Instruction Leader. This allows her to assist students in working together to understand difficult course work.
