Fellow:Jennifer Mayo
Professional Development Jennifer Mayo is currently an undergraduate senior at Oklahoma State University studying health education and promotion with a community health option. Mayo is the owner of Pearl health which is a social venture to develop a new material for condoms that will be better suited for developing countries. Currently, the condom is still in the development and testing phases, but it's expected to be finished in the Spring of 2014. Jennifer is a fellow of the Riata Center for entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University. Her project as a fellow includes the development of the Pearl Health business. She is also a fellow for University Innovation Fellows
Personal Life Jennifer Mayo grew up in Sulphur, Oklahoma. In 2011, Jennifer spent two semesters in India living in villages doing health education, and one month in Africa developing a school and doing preliminary work for girls recovery home. Mayo's activity includes stage manager with ID ministries[www.idministries.com]and works alongside the Pearl House[www.pearlhouse.org]. Mayo's future plans are to work with women in developing countries teaching women's health and sex education.
