Bio
Grant is a motivated, self-starting, and diligent student currently studying Engineering with a minor in Business at James Madison University. Originally from a small, rural county in southwest Virginia, Grant has many unique experiences and perspectives. Grant, being interested in engineering from a very young age, has worked on and completed many engineering projects including leading a robotics team to four regional and one state championship, building his own electric skateboard, creating a commercial radio transmitter from a raspberry pi, and countless other engineering projects. He has been employed in many industries ranging from retail, automotive, and construction to his current position as an intern for the JMU X-Labs. As an Intern at the JMU X-Labs, Grant is responsible for teaching students and monitoring a facility with laser cutters, 3D printing, CNC mills, power tools, and other prototyping equipment. In the future, Grant is looking forward to working in the mechanical or aerospace engineering industries.
