Caterina Carra is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Marketing and Economics at Fordham University. Caterina is originally from Reggio Emilia, Italy but grew up in Rome, Brussels, and Paris. As a result of living in different countries, Caterina can speak Italian, English, French, Italian, and Spanish. Her multi-cultural background gives her a different perspective when tackling challenges and problems.

Caterina became interested in innovation and entrepreneurship at Fordham University. Fordham’s Jesuit values of being socially conscious permeate through their teaching of innovation and entrepreneurship. After meeting many students involved in social innovation and entrepreneurship, Caterina became more aware and concerned with social issues and wanted to make an impact in her community. This prompted her to get more involved with innovation and entrepreneurship as well as bring change to Fordham University. This is what led Caterina to join the University Innovation Fellows program. Caterina is now a strong believer that Design Thinking is an extremely valuable skill for all students to learn (regardless of major) as it teaches students to produce creative solutions to problems.

When Caterina isn’t working on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship at Fordham, Caterina is interning in New York City and pursuing her career interest in Marketing. Caterina is passionate about fashion, beauty products, and hospitality and hopes to implement her Design Thinking skills and innovative mindset in her future work.
