Ariana Colon-Sifre is a University Innovation Fellow from Danville, Virginia, and a current Biotechnology student at James Madison University. On campus, Ariana is involved in several organizations such as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), where she holds the office of Treasurer, and the Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) program at JMU, where she is a programming volunteer. From a young age, Ariana was always looking for ways to get involved in her community as well as leadership opportunities. Most notably, she was a member of the National FFA Organization for six years; she served as an officer in the Chatham High School FFA chapter for four of those years. Throughout her time in FFA, she competed in several different career development competitions including Hippology, Livestock Judging, and Vet Science. In her free time, Ariana enjoys relaxing with her cats and painting.
