Bio
André J Guardia is a University Innovation Fellow and is studying Applied Physics with a minor in Entrepreneurship at IIT. He is from San José, Costa Rica. Ever since he was little he remembers himself tinkering, taking stuff apart, wanting to build something cool. He has always wanted to be an inventor, and believes there is special value in using our ideas, skills and passion to craft solutions that can one day change people’s lives. This is why he started project AID, an initiative focused on developing a sustainable desalination and Mineral Extraction system. He is also the Intinium Idea Incubator Project Lead. One day, he wants to be a successful entrepreneur. He takes great pride in designing a program that teaches him and everyone involved exactly what they need to make their dream a reality.

- Designed and lead the first-ever Idea Incubator at Illinois Tech
- High School Robotics Team founder.
- Honorable Mention: National Physics Olympiad
- National 1st Place Chemistry Olympiad (Costa Rica)
- National 5th Place Physics Olympiad (Costa Rica)
