Abby Kuehne is a University Innovation Fellow Candidate and an undergraduate student studying Psychology, and Communication Culture and Media at
Michigan Technological University (MTU). Her focuses include Human Factors and Cultural Studies. Abby is originally from Auburn, MI, where she lived until 2016 when she moved to Houghton, MI to continue her education at Michigan Technological University. As a transfer student from Delta College in Saginaw, MI, she found that culture defines the best aspects of our lives and switched into the CCM major from Biomedical Engineering. She is finishing her undergraduate education and beginning her graduate studies.
At Michigan Technological University, Abby is highly involved with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Affiliate Chapter at Michigan Tech, the Association of Psychology Students at Michigan Tech, and Psi Chi a Psychology Honors Society. She promotes support systems for all students in the College of Sciences and Arts as an ambassador for the Humanities department, as well as the Cognitive and Learning Sciences department. In addition, she has worked for the University as a student videographer and photographer, an admissions representative for prospective students, and a student representative for alumni relations and advancement. In her spare time, she loves to swim in the university pool and Lake Superior, hike around the copper country, and spend quality time with friends.
