Lucero Collado is a senior at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas majoring in Administration and Marketing in Lima, graduating in 2027. She is currently pursuing a minor in Consumer Insights, building toward a career in product marketing, guided by the belief that great products start with truly understanding people.

Since she was a child, she has been a competitive person who learns fast and enjoys a good challenge, having won different competitions along the way. She loves to be in constant learning, so she always makes time to listen to the experiences of others in her day to day, treating every conversation as a chance to grow.

Her interests go beyond the classroom, including biology and astronomy. In astronomy, she admires Stephen Hawking for his work unraveling the mystery of black holes. She earned a certificate in Cell Biology: Mitochondria from HarvardX in 2018. She is also a cinephile who enjoys classic movies, along with listening to different genres of music and dancing. She cares deeply about education, technology, and the environment, and enjoys exploring where these topics meet.

Her path with the University Innovation Fellows program started in February 2022, when she took part in the P&G CEO Challenge and reached the national finals, exchanging marketing strategies with students from across the country. Later that year, she became a University Innovation Fellow as part of the Fall 2022 cohort.

Between December 2022 and March 2023, she took part in a cultural exchange program in Lake Tahoe, one of several experiences that pushed her to adapt quickly to new environments and unfamiliar situations. In March 2023, she traveled to Stanford University in Silicon Valley for the UIF Meetup, representing her university and her country.

In November 2023, she was selected to represent her university and country at the Laureate Leadership Summit, held in New York City in January 2024, where she gave a speech on education to the board of directors of Laureate's global network of institutions. From December 2023 to March 2024, she returned to Lake Tahoe for a second cultural exchange.

In July 2024, she co-founded a marketing leadership community at UPC, and helped organize its first event in partnership with Tommy Hilfiger. From December 2024 to November 2025, she worked in the United States on a one year hospitality internship in Lake Tahoe, an experience that strengthened her ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and thrive in fast changing, people first environments.

Today, back in Peru, she serves as a UIGuide for the UIF community, a role she pursued since 2023, now supporting new fellows through the same process that once shaped her own path.
