Bio

I am currently a student at UNF, a Resident Assistant with UNF's Housing and Resident Life department, and a PASS Leader for College Algebra. I am from Jacksonville, Florida. Because of my job as an RA, I have experience with conflict mediation, communication, idea generation, and listening to others. I have recently set a trend in my residence hall community of wearing blankets with dinosaur hoods. This was a confidence booster for me because it showed me that I have some characteristics of leadership. Usually, I am too anxious to think of myself as a leader. My goal in life is to become a doctor of medicine and potentially go into surgery. If I can carry myself in a way that makes people comfortable following my advice, that is a useful thing to have in that field. Outside of school, I love to do all sorts of arts and crafts like knitting, sewing, and painting. I also love watching movies and eating Vietnamese food. My grandma was Vietnamese and greatly influenced me growing up. I also have a cousin my same age who is on the ASD spectrum, and growing up around her has given me great interest in what resources are available to adults who have ASD. I am concerned about the workaholic culture America has, and hope to promote people to have more of a work/life balance.
