Hi all! This is Justline Chan and I am a final year student at Lingnan University, Hong Kong.
I am a hard-working, sociable and easy-going student who is good at communicating with the others and expressing myself. Changing my role from a volunteer service participant, leader, organiser and now a volunteer movement advising committee member, I learnt a lot from volunteering over the past 7 years.
Under the outbreak of COVID-19, I started to realize the effectiveness of social innovation in bettering society. Social innovation is imperative to fostering societal development, either in short or long term. Participating in the transparent face mask co-design project organized by Lingnan Entrepreneurship Initiative (LEI), I have co-designed transparent face cover models for the hearing-impaired and assisted in public education after a series of participatory design sessions with the members from the Hong Kong Society for the Deaf. Apart from that, I used to take up different important leadership positions e.g. internal Vice President of Enactus Hong Kong (Lingnan University) and committee member of the International Blockchain Olympiad (Lingnan University, Hong Kong) to promoting social entrepreneurship inside or beyond campus.
I look forward to learning more about different innovative ideas from different perspectives!
