I became a UIF in fall 2016 at Southern Illinois University. During my time at SIU, I was able to create a resource guide for first-generation college students as well as help re-vamp the UIF program. I continued to be involved in UIF at SIU until I graduated in May 2019 with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Throughout my time at SIU, I discovered my love for mentoring and supporting college students, which led me to pursuing a master's degree at Colorado State University studying Student Affairs in Higher Education (expected May 2021). I am currently involved with UIF as a uiguide, but I still hope to dig into some of my passion projects in the future. As a future higher education administrator, I am excited to continue using the skills I have gained through UIF to make change on college campuses.
