Jaime Arribas Starkey-El graduated from Morgan State University in 2015 with a BS in Physics and a BS in Engineering Physics.He loves to learn, he loves to discover, and he always wants to know more. During his time as a UIF, he served as a catalyst for the enhancement of innovation culture locally and nationally. Jaime believes innovation is the direct outcome of the freedom and opportunity to experiment. He strives to pave the way for diverse and inclusive ecosystems, expose students to advantageous resources, and bring opportunities to young people whose motivation and drive have gone malnourished.

He is the president of the Society of Physics Students (SPS) and a very active member of several honor societies. He is also a member of the defending national champion Honda All-Star college bowl team at Morgan. Jaime has spent a significant amount of time doing Physics research in the Dixon lab at Morgan, researching topological insulators and assisting in the development of novel magnetic metal oxide thin films for magnetic device applications. During an internship at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Jaime created a bonding test to measure the static force behavior of epoxy bonds in satellite modules in order to determine optics distortion. As a result of his diligent work, Jaime had his internship extended and was nominated as a NASA student ambassador.</span></span>
