Matta, colloquially known as AJ, is a University Innovation Fellow studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Hailing from a long line of engineers and entrepreneurs, leadership and ingenuity are in his blood. Testing as an INTP on the Myers-Briggs personality test, he is extremely analytical and prefers to observe a situation from afar before jumping in. In his free time, he can almost always be found tinkering with something. His hobbies are as constant as a random number generator; constantly leading him to pick up new trade skills. While most hobbies begin and end on a whim, a few have stuck around throughout the years. The most notable of these include blacksmithing and working with open-source electronics (obviously). Currently attending UAB, he is involved with the UAB MakerSpace, as well as helping produce a weekly show on BlazeRadio. He hopes to continue to introduce new technology to students that otherwise would never have the opportunity to use it.</span>
