He is from Traverse City, Michigan and hoped to improve health using technology. It was at Michigan Tech that he got involved with entrepreneurship through the Pavlis Honor's College and worked to improve education on innovation and entrepreneurship as he applies what he learns to his own ideas.

By the time he transferred from Northwestern Michigan Community College to Michigan Tech, he first tried mechanical engineering and later made the switch to computer engineering as he learned of the opportunities he would have in either an automotive or health-related field. Kyle Ludwig is a University Innovation Fellow at Michigan Technological University studying Computer Engineering. As an undergraduate, he joined as a Fellow in fall of 2016.

He is from Traverse City, Michigan and has developed his own personal health technology company, Looma. It was at Michigan Tech that he got involved with entrepreneurship through the Pavlis Honor's College and has continued to work in areas of education, health and entrepreneurship on campus.
