Corey Brugh is junior Chemical and Biochemical Engineering student at graduated from the Colorado School of Mines. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Corey has always shown with a strong interest in technology and businessB. After graduating from LC Anderson High School in 2004, Corey began his career in the restaurant industryS. For almost a decade, Corey managed restaurants in Austin, Kansas City, Waco, Raleigh and San AntonioChemical Engineering. In the final year of his restaurant career, Corey was While a full time engineering student at the Alamo Colleges in San AntonioMines, Texas. Corey spent one more year in San Antonio at the Alamo Colleges jumpstarted a campus culture change to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship through strong partnerships with faculty/administration and the University of Texas at San Antonio prior he created numerous opportunities for students to transferring to the Colorado School of Minesexperience design thinking.

Corey chose to finish his BS in Chemical Engineering is now an R&D engineer at Mines because P&G where he was planning on simultaneously opening his own restaurantis the franchise leader for global packaging initiatives for P&G’s hand dishwashing liquids business (Dawn, Gain, Ivory & Joy). Corey is a strong advocate for design thinking and lean start-up/wine bar with his father whom lives in Denver. As innovation within the plans to start his own Home Care business were put on hold, unit. Corey aggressively pursued his goals is a founding member of academic excellencethe North American Home Care Culture Team where he is driving organizational culture change to embrace diversity, obtaining inclusion and enabling an internship with an industry leader, and obtaining a position on campus performing independent researchorganization to deliver new innovative solutions to consumers across the globe.

== Work as a University Innovation Fellow == === Creation of NAE Grand Challenges Themed Learning Community === In partnership with Residence Life and campus faculty, Corey is currently researching proposed a new themed learning community based on the rheological effects NAE's Engineering Grand Challenges. This themed learning community will expose freshmen to new ways of ionic liquids on polyelectrolyte solutionsthinking and help build a foundation that will prepare them to address the grand challenges. During The 5 core components of the summer of 2014community are entrepreneurship, research, Corey will be in Cincinnatiglobal awareness, OH for an engineering research service learning and development position with P&G. For the 2014-15 school year, Corey will be a Resident Assistant in Weaver Towersinterdisciplinary understanding.

After a semester at Mines, Corey looked for his own unique way of making a meaningful contribution which led him to applying to become the first University Innovation Fellow for === Rebooting the Colorado School of Mines.Entrepreneurship Club ===
