Bio
About Me
Hi, I am Karl Ng, a student of Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine at Hong Kong Baptist University. While my studies are rooted in traditional wellness, my path into social innovation was sparked by a modern-day reality. My perspective profoundly shifted after a university workshop gave me the opportunity to visit residents in Hong Kong's subdivided units.
My Passion
Stepping into those homes, I saw the challenging living conditions faced by members of my own community. That experience ignited a fire in me. It’s no longer enough to just learn about health; I feel a deep responsibility to apply my knowledge to help those in need. My passion is to become a person who creates tangible, positive change, starting right here in my local community.
My Goal
I am driven to use my unique background in Chinese Medicine to design innovative and accessible wellness solutions for vulnerable populations. I want to engage in programs like UIF to collaborate with students from all disciplines, learn new ways to tackle complex social issues, and equip myself to become an effective and influential advocate for community health.
