Gurvinder is a driven Mechanical and Mechatronic engineer who uses every learning experience to push him towards a future where he can help others through engineering. He believes that education is the ultimate tool to empower those in need and propagates this through his role as a UTS U@UNI equity ambassador, dedicated to providing students from a disadvantaged or refugee background expand their horizons in entering university.

Gurvinder is also part of the UTS: Motorsports Electric Team, engaging with engineering principles as a Chassis and Driveline engineer to help build a Formula 3 style race car. He is interested in fields such as Finite Element Analysis and functional product design in complex environments. He is looking to expand his skills in the mechatronics and programming space to complement his mechanical engineering skills.

Having grown up in western Sydney, away from the opportunities and industry exposure offered closer to the CBD, Gurvinder built his way up by propagating his passions into reality and finding learning opportunities far beyond what he could have imagined as a highschool student. He hopes that through the UIF program, he can inspire a similar change in others by helping students 'starting from zero' connect to experiences and gain exposure for learning and growth.
