Bio
Abby is a connector and learner with a background in higher education, experiential learning, and community and economic development. Originally from the Boston, MA area, her school and work has taken her from North Carolina (go Heels!) to Ukraine, South Africa, and Italy, and has landed her in Northeast Ohio. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University where she is studying how universities can have a greater impact on communities by helping solve complex social challenges through transdisciplinary learning. Her academic interests are in inter and transdisciplinary research, learning, and teaching; innovation in higher education; community-engaged learning; and anchor institutions. When she's not being a full-time nerd, she can usually be found hiking, running (slowwwwwly), walking dogs, eating gelato in Little Italy, or exploring a new neighborhood in Cleveland.
