Jeni Weber is a former University Innovation Fellow who graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in April of 2017. Her sophomore year of In college, she worked for a tech startup, Satterfield Technologies, with the first student startup company of the UAB's Innovation Lab at Innovation Depot. This experience was her introduction to the world of innovation, and entrepreneurship, and technology. It led to her joining her fellow students in <br /><br />Her work at UAB involved creating the UAB MakerSpace, Makerspace with her cohort. The UAB Makerspace is a student-run organization dedicated to giving users a place that provides people with the resources to bring make their ideas to lifehappen. Her senior year, she became a University Innovation Fellow, continued to work at maintaining and improving the UAB MakerSpace, and Jeni also worked with her cohort students and faculty to try to reframe on reframing the freshman experience . She and implement her cohort advocated for changes in the university’s core curriculum. She has had the privilege of attending the March 2017 Silicon Valley Meetup and the ui5 design event at Stanford in November 2017. <br /><br />Jeni has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a concentration in Marketing Management. She continues to apply design thinking to her life by prototyping different careers and lifestyles. She believes in staying curious and open to new opportunities. <br /><br />Since graduating, she moved to Southern California, does Jeni has been a digital marketing consulting for small businessesconsultant, works at a yoga studioassistant, and an English teacher. She spent 6 months teaching English in Thailand and learning about the educational ecosystem there. Jeni is using design thinking to build her dream career and lifecurrently living in Bulgaria learning from a community of people who work online. <br /><br />
