Jessica Aldrich is a senior at Wichita State University pursuing a BS in Biomedical Engineering with minors in Mathematics and General Business. Aldrich[[File:Jessica Aldrich2.jpg|thumb]] is passionate about research and problem solving and has spent her time at WSU working in research labs within the Biomedical Engineering department. Her research has included topics such as biosensor development, machine learning, nanomedicine, and mechanobiology. Working in research has given her the opportunity to uncover and solve problems related to her work; this has inspired her to translate that methodology to problems and concerns on her campus.

As a student, Aldrich has been involved in numerous organizations and has taken on leadership roles within the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. During her time leading BMES she implemented a mentoring program that allowed college students to mentor high school seniors’ as they completed their senior design projects.  Outside of school, she volunteers for Younglife and is a part of their regional leadership development program. Aldrich plans to pursue a PhD in biomedical engineering following graduation.
