Fellow:Jaclynn Siler-Dearring

Jaclynn Dearring is a University Innovation Fellow and attends North Carolina A&T State University. She was born and raised in Rochester, New York. Currently, Jaclynn is a master's candidate for a degree in Bioengineering. She also recently received an undergraduate degree in Bioengineering at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in May of 2016. In the previous school year, Jaclynn was the President of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and also served as the Community Service chair for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE)  for the 2015-2016 Academic Year. She is participating in the Engineering Research Center for diabetic and cardiovascular wound healing dressings on campus. Over the summer Jaclynn had the opportunity to intern with the Food and Drug Administration as a Student Engineering Trainee in Springfield, Maryland. She enjoys being of service to her community, exploring new ways to make a difference in the world and listening to music in her spare time.
<p style="text-align: center;">Jaclynn looks forwad to working alongside the other two Innovation Fellows onn campus this school year.</p>
