[[File:Zach Crawford.JPG|thumb|Zach Crawford.JPG]]Zach Crawford is in his third year at [[Western Michigan University|Western_Michigan_University]] as an Industrial and Entrepreneurial Engineering student and is a second year University Innovation Fellow. After studying both music and mathematics extensively in grade school, he knew he wanted to pursue a career path that was as technical as it was creative  
Early research work in the field of new product development affirmed his passion for Entrepreneurial Engineering and allowed him to be involved on his campus. Participation in a local startup initiative’s university wide business pitch competition combined with working as a STEM Talent Expansion Program Mentor put him in a public position to influence the growth of innovation at WMU.
