While working towards his B.S. in Computer Science Ellery has maintained an active role on campus trying to get the most out of a liberal arts education. An avid Graphic/Web Designer and Musician this vision for him includes tying together both the arts and the sciences and taking full advantage of the wide range of talents and skills available at Beloit College. Ellery also spent this last summer exploring the tech entrepreneurship scene in Chicago while working for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel. Where he helped research start-ups in Chicago and facilitate events like [http://techweek.com/chicago/ Tech-Week] in Chicago's tech-entreprenuership hub [http://www.1871.com/ 1871].
Ellery's main goals as a UI Fellow are to bring together the large amounts of talent and recourses available at Beloit College. He believes with these assets, and the strategic location of Beloit College from established entrepreneurship communities, he will be able to make a lasting and sustainable change that will be seen in both the local community and the greater Midwest. Together with the other UI Fellows he hopes to see this change have a lasting effect nationally and ultimately internationally.
