Harinee pursues her interests in community development, sustainability, public policy and different culturesthrough involvement in PittGlobal Brigades, Pitt Environmental Action Coalition, the PA Center for Women & Politics, and South Asian Student Association. She serves her communityby working with a local non-profitorganization focused oneducation and health for adolescent girls, volunteering at a local hospital, and participating in university service events. Harinee hopes to pursue a master's in public health and attend medical school upon graduation. She wants to learn more ways to incorporate innovation and entrepreneurship into her academic endeavors, career goals, and get more of her peers involved at the university.
Harinee enjoys working with others and on interdisciplinary teams. She recognizes that pre-health profession curriculums can be rigid and wants to bridge the disconnectbetween her peers in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and the other schools of Engineering, Business, and Arts and Sciences. Harinee pursues her interest in innovation and entrepreneurship by engaging in student-led workshops and entering competitions such as Pitt's first Sustainability Solutions competitions. Her involvement in student organizations and events allows her to be part of a larger team and share ideas with students from all over Pitt's campus.
Harinee is excited to be part of and learn from a group of students who share an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship and want to improve their college campus.
